The University of Puerto Rico-Medical Sciences Campus (UPR-MSC) an institution with six (6) specialized schools, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Public Health, Nursing and Health Related Professions, is located in the Puerto Rico Medical Center, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Campus' service mission is fulfilled by diverse on-campus and off-campus activities that include clinical services, consultation, applied research, evaluation, advising, and continuing education. In its quest for maintaining a preeminent scientific and academic position and in order to enrich its resources and services, the Medical Sciences Campus promotes educational and research interactions at local, national, and international levels.
The Department of Environmental Health is one of five (5) departments of the Graduate School of Public Health whose mission is to provide interdisciplinary programs of education, research and service in environmental health to promote and maintain the physical, mental and social health of the Puerto Rican community.
